About Us
Our mission is to preserve, catalog and enable access to the Chase-Jellison Homestead collection.
The Chase-Jellison Homestead organization was founded in 2012 for the purpose of preserving the homestead and its contents. We are dedicated to expanding our understanding of the history of South Berwick and its inhabitants through our research and collections programs. We have also established outreach programs to encourage public education about local history. We routinely collaborate with other historical institutions and loan items from our collection for use in exhibitions, in addition to offering research support. Our ongoing work includes cataloging, photographing and archivally storing the thousands of items in our collection. The Chase Jellison Homestead also maintains an extensive private collection of Elmo Alfred Brulé (1917-2001) artwork.
